Gorilla Lateral Column Plating System
The Gorilla® Lateral Column Plating System consists of a dorsal plate placed on the 4th metatarsal, 5th metatarsal and cuboid that can accept a 5.5 mm Type II Anodized, non-locking, solid plate screw.
This screw interfaces with the plate and is intended to span from the space between the 4th and 5th metatarsals, through the cuboid and into the posterior aspect of the calcaneus.

This construct allows for strength, stability and compression throughout the lateral column which can help prevent plantar subluxation of the cuboid which may result in ulceration by alleviatig plantar pressure.
Product Description
The Gorilla® Lateral Column Plating System includes 4 specific plates which are anatomically contoured to fit the unique curvature and anatomy of the lateral column.
All plates are 1.5 mm thick.
Each circular screw hole accommodates a 2.7, 3.5 and 4.2 mm non-locking and locking polyaxial screw. The locking screws feature “Cheaters Lag”.
The system also includes plate specific templates which optimizes plate position for reaming in a specific location which allows placement of a Type II Anodized 5.5 mm solid beaming plate screw.
The beaming plate screws are offered in fully threaded and partially threaded options.
